It is very often that we see people around us smoking but what I have seen yesterday was not too often and that was a nearly 10 years of age child smoking. He was smoking near a residential area. Neither this guy had a fear of people around him and nor he was aware of the repercussions of smoking in such a small age. According to American Heart organization, approx. 21 million women & 27 million men in the United States are smokers. This was the only reason which reason which enforce me to write on this topic.

We all know Smoking is injurious to health but do we really care. Children start smoking in very small age initially to show off but later this becomes habit and it gets very difficult to quit. An old saying which says “every cigarette reduces 5 min of smoker’s life” and it is very strange to know that even educated section of the society is not worried about this.
ILL Effects of Smoking – Smoking just not reduces the life span rather it also causes many serious diseases like heart and lung problems. For female smokers it can also lead to problems during pregnancy. Not only this, even passive smoking can also lead to death. It can also affect adversely to your sex life.
Quit it today – It is not easy to quit this habit but nothing is impossible. Only strong Determination can make everything possible. There are several steps which should be taken to quit smoking forever.
Do not Wait for Tomorrow – Every Smoker knows the ill effects of smoking. However when it comes to quit people always think today is the last day of smoking and will leave it from tomorrow. This is a wrong approach. Quit it from today as tomorrow never comes.
Make a Note – You can always write on a piece of paper words like “I have quit smoking” as this will keep on reminding you that you have quit smoking.
Take Help from your Friends – Inform people around you that you do not smoke any longer so that no body will offer you a cigarette again and also your friends & family members keep you motivated about it & support your effort.
Don’t Panic – Whenever you have an urge to smoke always jot down the reasons which triggered you to smoke so that you can avoid it in future.
Use Alternatives – Use alternatives like chewing gums instead of cigarettes. These gums are also good for your teeth & gums unlike cigarettes. Eating Dark chocolate is a good substitute of smoking.
Strong your Will Power – Motivate yourself by saying that I am not a smoker now and also remind the ill affects of smoking that was affecting your health. It can help you to think that you have taken the right decision.
Avoid things related to Cigarettes – Fling away all your ashtrays or lighters. Also avoid going on shops.
Also don’t force yourself for quitting. Quitting is a process. Never feel disappointed if you fail in it. Try it again and you will get success one day for sure.
